Roku is the way to go

From the wide variety of streaming as well as live TV services to the ease of setup and support, Roku is the best choice out there. Our iPhones and iPads also screen cast through the Roku, and so do the computers. The built in remote on the iPhone will also operate the Roku and it can be added to your Home app. These small, inexpensive but powerful devices pack a big punch. They are wireless devices and need a quality and dependable connection, but what doesn’t anymore? I have three of them now they rock.

    Problems finding 5G network

This is the 4th Roku device I have purchased over the years and I am disappointed in it's performance/style. The unit is so small it is difficult to keep it stationary without using the sticky tape that I don't want to use as it is sitting on my TV stand that has glass shelves. I had no problem connecting my Roku version 2 to my 5G network but this new one only finds my 2G network. I attempted several network scans but it still only finds the 2G network. It also keeps freezing up on screens. I re-installed by version 2 Roku and am again connected to my 5G network with no issues. I bought the Premiere version to be able to access and stream 4K on my new LG TV. I guess I will continue to use the 2nd version for streaming, just not 4K.

  • The only Roku Model with Dolby Audio over optical connection

Great option if you have an older A/V receiver without HDMI inputs and want to enjoy Dolby Digital sound from Netfilx, HBO, Starz, etc. This is in fact the only Roku model that has optical SPDIF output that you can use to connect to your older receiver. Despite being almost 4 years old it performs very well. Recommended.

  • Makes my old TV into a SmartTv

Roku is cheaper than FireStick and just as easy to install and use. I prefer this platform because I can go live on any channel on my line up instead of just stream movies or paid streaming services. Unlike Roku, I connect with my cable subscriber info and get everything in one place. I bought it for an older TV and it instantly made it into a Smart TV. Recommend it for the older tv's that does not connect to wifi and you might not have a cable service. It will not disappoint.

  • Don't have a Roku TV, no problem.

I discovered how go the Roku System was after I had already purchased a non-Roku TV. I wanted to have both TVs the same. The Roku Premiere was all that I needed. With their Website user access, you can program the Streamer just the way you want it and seconds later my viewing favorites pop up. This is exactly what I needed to balance everything out. Perfect.

  • Small and Powerful

Roku is simple to use and provides massive amounts of content. The streaming is seamless and the ability to view my content in 1080p makes for beautiful viewing. I also like that Roku provides access to all different types of content and many of the channels they offer are free - another great benefit. I would recommend Roku to anyone.

  • Great Media Device

This is my second player and as usual very easy to setup and install. Works great and is super small. The sticks won't work on my tv cause they plug in behind. This sits almost invisible on the stand and works like a champ. Need 2 more to replace cable boxes and save the monthly charges. Will pay for itself in 4 months.

  • Excellent Product

One day I realized that mi 3 smart tv sets were to old because I could not open aplications like Disneys and netflix. New versions are not compatible with my smart tvs. Someone recommend me roku I bought 1 just for test. Every applications for xtreaming tv was working very nice. So I am buying a couple more for my others tvs. That makes me save money because my tvs are still fully functional

  • Good, basic 4K Roku, but very slow connection speed.

This is an inexpensive 4K Roku, especially on sale, and it comes with an included HDMI cable, which is a plus. The remote is basic, without voice search, headphone jack, or TV controls, but at this price point, this is reasonable. The only unpleasant surprise is that connection speeds are very slow (comparable to a Roku 1), at 3 to 8 megabytes per second, even when located next to a Roku 3 that streams at 30 megabytes per second from the same wifi router. This makes channel and loading slower than expected, but the 4K signal still looks good (so far).

  • More TV than I can Watch for very little money!

I ditched cable and for less than a quarter of the price I now have more shows and movies than I have time to watch. Netflix no longer worked with my old TV but it came right up when I attached the Roku. I used my existing high end 6ft HDMI cable which allowed me to place the Roku on top of my electronics stack. It's small and nearly invisible. Didn't have to tape it down or tape it to the TV. Very easy to use and set up. Since I always had 6 remotes for each thing, it doesn't bother me to have 2 - one to turn TV on/off and the Roku for all the channels, shows, and volume. Best purchase I've made in a long time. Love it!
