Porter Cable replacement battery
So far battery charge is good ,only problem is locking mechanism has a weak spring and top is rounded, it should be narrow n flat.This causes battery to fall out when using on projects cause strong vibration or a good bump,but easily fixed if you just replaced a bad porter cable battery. I took spring and locking piece from bad one n put in this one,EASY.BE NICE IF SOMEONE HAD TO COMPENSATE ME FOR THAT 20 MINS.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Much harder to insert than original, etc.etc.
I'm not strong like most people who use this equipment. With that said, it was MUCH harder for me to insert than the original battery which came with the Porter Cable set. Not only is it harder to slide on due to its unforgivingly snug fit, but also the final "click" to lock it into the drill is very hard for weak people. So in a nutshell, the original battery had been way easier at BOTH sliding on AND click-locking it in. Sorry, but that, to me, is unacceptable as it takes a very painful toll on arthritic fingers. (Side-note: As much as people think to the contrary, handicap rights for the disabled are in dire need of improvement, not excluding the unreachability of items on high shelves at stores.) As for power and durability, note that I tested both the original and this one within a minute of each other, so as to compare the sound. Now, it could be either my penchant for nuances or my imagination, but the sound emitted by the original battery sounded to me more powerful. The latter sounded to me a bit weaker - sorta an "off" sound. Unfortunately, the world we live in doesn't offer less-monied consumers decent choices. You either have much better quality at much higher cost, or else copycat quality at just a bit less cost.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

New life to old tools!
