After reading all the rave review for Hamilton Beach I ordered it, replacing my West Bend that had a floppy magnet. To my surprise the they are twins, except the operating system, although all most identical, the West Bend seems heavier, thus perhaps, I say perhaps I little better. Lightweight and easy to operate
I purchased this product because I have developed pain and numbness in my hands, and needed something that was easy to operate and lightweight. This can opener is everything It was described as. It is not heavy like my previous opener. It is very easy to attach cans and takes just a light touch to operate. It is a bit taller than most which means I can use it with tall cans and not have to hold can over the counter to accommodate the extra height.
