Power packed with tons of ports and expansion capability, highly versatile. Great Performance.
First off this thing is heavy. It's got a big battery, huge. And for good reason. This thing was one of the most expensive in its class when it came out, because it was so forward thinking and ahead of its then current era of competition. Now, several years later, it still holds up with basically only real exception being lack of built-in USB-C. Don't let that one single factor be a dealkiller for you. Aside from that, this is not a dinosaur, it's still one of the strongest and most versatile you can get at the price ranges these are available for now, and unlike current models which favor being of the sleek ultra-thin looking fashion statement these are exceptionally rugged and durable with a noticeable heft and weight. If USB 3.0 is enough for most of your needs well aside from having multiple of those, plus multiple 2.0, just about any port you can think of is on here, literally covering nearly the entire circumference of the body of the unit. You can hook up 3-4 monitors with this without even using a hub, just hooking them up directly to such a variety of ports, HDMI, VGA, Displayport, etc etc... This is a massive and powerful machine that can run all the latest 64-bit progams with a breeze. The CPU in this particular unit, having a huge onboard built-in cache complimenting it being a very "smart" chip anyway, still benchmarks in the upper ranks of quad-core CPU's even now over a decade after release. And I haven't even mentioned yet that it has a more than capable strong graphics component for just about anything short of recently introduced high-end virtual reality based games or apps.
