Nice Problem Solver
Yes the NE8FF is a coupler but it is useful as a bridge between normal RJ45 and EtherCon as well. It allows us to use our Ethernet certifier to test EtherCon cables and installed connectivity as well. Just connect a standard RJ47 cable on one end and a EtherCon terminated cable on the other.
