Brand new. Works great... but turn batt. sideways.
This UPC was new as described and was exactly what I was looking for. I presently have several APC ES350 battery backups that are older models. This one takes the same batteries as the older models and worked great. Note: when you install the battery in this new model, it must be turned sideways to fit in the slot for the battery. (The older models allowed the battery to be installed with the battery connections facing the cover opening. Excellent compact choice for keeping sensitive electronics safe
I got this because our town has always had good power but over the past several months we had experienced several brief (5 seconds or less) losses of power. Each time this happened certain equipment, notably DVRs would reboot which is not conducive to long life. So I got two of these to protect some equipment that does not need a more powerful unit.
