Good woodworker's marking knife.
I've been marking wood with my pocket knife or a utility knife. Thought I'd try a straight pointed blade type for marking in place of the others. Just wish I'd done this when I first started woodworking. Great knife, great job. Much more accurate for this sort of thing. Folding knife mechanism seems odd at first, but it is a safety sort of thing. Solid construction, long enough blade for marking. easy to fold once you get used to the safety mechanism on the back of the handle. Won't fold up accidentally and cut you either. Will buy more of these.

Liked it so much, I bought another!
This little scoring blade pocket is excellent for what it was intended for and then some! Great product for the price and the blade is so sharp, it shaved my arm hair straight out of the packaging. I do suggest that you buy extra blades for when the original one dulls out or breaks. They are easy to replace with just a flat head screwdriver. Yup, I’ll never do without one of these again!

I Love the “Stanley Knife”!
It’s a convenient small size. Best part is the positive locking open of the blade. Whether for cutting cardboard, or marking dovetails, it’s great to feel the blade won’t slip, like other retractable utility knives can. • I have a good quality folding, retractable utility knife, and it has the unfortunate habit of the blade extend detent slipping, especially if you accidentally put your index finger on the blade retract button, instead of the solid index finger rest provided ahead of that button. • I don’t care to dis either tool, but I must say, I’m happy to have a tool with a positive open lock. • The only slight downside, is one-handed closing of the knife is not possible. I’m happy to pay that price for a tool with a positive open lock ability. As long as you keep the back of your fingers away from the sharp part of the blade when closing, I think you’ll be happy! • I am! 👋⚾️😎! Added later: • As I get more adept at closing the knife, the two-handed closing is not an issue. • I prefer the “Sheepsfoot” blade, STANLEY No. 11-040 rather than the “exact-o-knife” style blade (11-041). Both are good. I assume the former gives more control at the tip.

Compact, tough, and sharp
I don't know what it is but I love this knife. The more I use it the more I enjoy it. The blade locks up tight and comes hair shaving sharp out of box. The handle is very comfortable and is big enough for large size hands. Whatever steel they are using for the blades is great for the price, holds an edge well and is extremely easy to sharpen. A few passes on ceramic stones and a dozen swipes on a strop, it's back to hair shaving sharp. And the fact that it's made in the US makes me proud. I also think this would make a great First Knife for kids. Just buy it and an extra blade. You'll be so happy you did.

Pocket Knife for the rest of us.
Excellent pocket knife for a very fair price. Sharp and substantial blade... and it can be sharpened to an even finer edge. The handle is comfortable and compact, yet big enough for large hands. Excellent but very hazardous
been using this product 20 years at 3/4 your price for it. This is one one of those all-time excellent American made products, now eclipsed by newer models due to safety. It remains indisputably the best, easiest to maintain, simple and high quality, but, it's safety problem makes owning it very risky so it's price should be half what your price
