great for motorcycle helmet speakers
I purchased some 75 dollar speakers that go inside your motorcycle helmet, they sounded great when I would go slow at full volume but at highway speeds I couldn't here my music, so I purchased this little amplifier to see if it would help and wala my music sounds great at 85 mph on a Harley with loud pipes. I even had to turn down the volume. so far this thing works great. I just hope it lasts a while. for the price you cant beat it. charge it
CHARGE IT FIRST. The unit works, but took over ten hours to initially charge. Would not amplify until charged even though on usb power, i.e. was in 'pass-through' mode until charged. Once charged works fine. The documentation is poor when it discusses the switch. Switch is not flakey, but ineffective until charged, leading one to think it is bad. Also had to replace usb cable with a longer one. Cheaper than a cmoy amp, so satisfied at price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

not much boost
I bought this to boost the volume of my Ipod when i connected to me car stereo. there was not much difference between using it and not having the amplifier at all. I tried it with headphones and again there is NOT much difference between NOT using it and using it. Pros: small, rechargeable, battery last for 8hrs+, has several eq settings(bass boost, treble boost,all boost, and no boost), nice volume control. Cons: Boost not very noticeable, only has 1500mw MAX boost. 1500mw = 3/20 watt (that's just over 1/20 watt per channel) other thoughts: complete waste of MONEY. maybe a nice stocking stuffer for a child, but has no real use. after a while of use the battery won't last more then 10 minutes on a full charge.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The description of this product is quiet misleading. The FiiO E6 does amplify the volume level of the headphone. However, it does not add any quality to the sound.
