Replacement of defective one
The first one I received had a short and would stop working randomly. When the manufacturer was contacted they promptly sent out a replacement that has worked flawlessly for over a year now. I use it weekly to grind down my dog’s nails. Regular cleaning after every use I believe is key.

Worthless junk

EZchange sounds great, doesn't work.
This is my second Dremel. I got the first one in the 70s I think, and it works fine but the housing is soft and sticky. I thought the new chuck idea sounded great, but on first use, gently shaping some cast aluminum with a 1/8" burr, the chuck wouldn't hold the bit. The EZ Change is great the tool doesn't seem to have the tork (power) of the older tools . It is comfortable to use for a extended period time , compared to the older tools WE use the tool some times as long as 2 1/2 -3 hrs. at a time with no change in the performance . Buy new!
Thought I'd buy a refurbished unit because I could get a much better one for the money and it was redone by its maker, but it didn't work right out of the box and left me in a tight spot because it was needed right away.
