The AF100 delivers the shallow depth of field and wider field of view of a large imager, with the flexibility and cost advantages of a handheld camcorder. The AF100 is the next-generation, go-to HD camera that costs less, yet delivers so much more than other models in its class. The design of the AF100 s 4/3-inch sensor affords depth of field and field of view similar to that of 35mm movie cameras and also affords the full range of cinematic requisites. Equipped with an interchangeable lens micro 4/3 mount, the AF100 has the ability to use virtually any professional quality lens with the addition of an easily obtainable adapter, from low-cost still camera lenses as well as film-style lenses with fixed focal lengths, prime lenses, and zoom lenses. Incredibly Capable Production Camera
I'm very pleased with my AG-AF100, I bought it because it reminded me of a Panasonic camcorder I used to shoot Sports Video with, the ability to fit and use other lenses made it appealing to me. the 1080 High Definition looks fantastic, and of course the more you know about cinematography the more you can utilize what this machine has to offer. I like my AF100 so much that I've ordered another. IF you get one, make sure to acquire the instruction manual AND the AF100 Book, this is absolutely crucial in appreciating this camera and fine tuning it to your taste. Dayton Access Television uses cameras similar to the AF100 that are used every week by different people and have over 1000 hours of use on them.
