This thing worked just fine with my Mid 2011 Macbook Air running OS X 10.11.6..... I had purchased a generic adapter and I could not get it to work (even after installing two different drivers but .... no luck.....) anyhow..... do yourself a favor and get and Apple adapter... Underperforming knockoff that's clearly not Genuine
The English product details on the reverse side of the packaging is so full of typos and misspellings with missing words and spaces that a grade schooler could tell it's a bootleg product. Connection speed tested at barely 25 Mb/s using cat5 and Cat6 cables over local network. It can connect iPhones and iPads via Ethernet
It's only Fast Ethernet (10/100), but it works well. Combined with the Lightning to USB 3 adapter and a USB power adapter, it allows you to connect iOS devices to the network. Not a Plug N Play device in my case...
This product was NOT plug n play with the Macbook Air I attached it to.
