Spot: The Video Game! is a contest of strategy played on a 2D game board grid, starring the little red Spot mascot of 7UP brand soft drinks. Circular spots of a color (black or a shade of gray) are placed in empty tiles on the board. When players place a spot of their color on a tile, it changes the spots on all adjacent tiles to their color as well. The game is played in turns. The goal of the game is to have the most spots on the board when all the tiles have been filled. The single-player mode offers five difficulty settings, which affect the skill level of the computer opponent. A two-player pass-and-play mode is available as well. The Game Boy edition of Spot: The Video Game! includes 512 pre-programmed game boards of various shapes and dimensions. Players can create and play on custom game boards as well.Product Identifiers

Basic, but fun for what it is!
Let me preface this by saying: If you think this is a Game Boy port of Cool Spot for SNES/Genesis, that's not the case: this is a completely different game, just the same character. Anyways, that bit of confusion out of the way, there's not really much to say about the game itself, as it's a simple port of the popular board game Reversi, also known as Othello, with not really much else added apart from a pretty good soundtrack by Geoff Follin.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Fun Portable Version of and NES Classic
A good challenging strategy game if you like the NES version. Sadly the Gameboy failed to make this as a Game Link cartridge. They could have used the Four Player Adapter to recreate the game faithfully though the simple black & white graphics would have made it confusing.
