Not comfortable for extended wear. Can't hold small screws/nails
I was looking for a replacement bib apron for housing construction. This was as close to what I had as I could find. Problems: 1. There were no pockets wide enough where you could keep screws or nails and retrieve them with your hand. They were so narrow that I couldn't reach the bottom. In face, you probably have to take it off and invert it to empty the pockets. 2. The neck strap was un-adjustable and very narrow, cutting grooves in your shoulders with the bag loaded. (Should be a soft flat webbing.) 3. The crisscross waist tie is hard to fasten behind you. 4. It appears that the hammer loops were semi-rigid. Instead, they are just webbing, requiring time to open them up before inserting your hammer.
I'll modify it, removing stitching between some compartments. Replace the neck strap with webbing. Replace the waist strap with something longer so it can be tied in front. I'll tape some soda-bottle plastic inside the hammer loop to hold it open.
Only plus: The canvas seems heavy enough.
