For those who desire a non-wireless subwoofer, Motion Vision offers simple wired connectivity. Very good when compared to other Soundbars

Very nice but manage your expectations given that it's a bar and the tech is from 2012.
I found this for peanuts with only a stock photo in the listing and no remote. Worked out great. It is replacing a Meridian 800 series (always mix up the number system), an elan 6 channel amp, psb alpha speakers and Athena center and diy sub. The sound quality of the bar isn't as good but it simplifies the system and cleans up the living room. Base is decent but I'll hook my sub back up when I find a mono amp. I think this bar sounds better the louder you play it. At low volume, there is some missing detail. Not sure if it's a digital volume loss of resolution issue or what. But, sound is convincing and I never got distracted by it. It blends well with the video. You can adjust the base but it wasn't very tight past 5 ( out of ten). The folded motion tweeters are great. They produce a pretty effortless top end that is smooth and clean without sounding grainy. Sounds good with music. The sound changes significantly when you change from stereo to surround. I never liked any DSP with 2 channel audio but this actually sounds good. The menu is easily accessed through the buttons on the top panel. You can program the bar to any remote. This is convenient. I'd you can get it for under $150, you won't be disappointed. You might be if you pay more. But it certainly is a reasonable alternative to a 5.1 system if you are looking for a clean install. You get good audio quality but it isn't enveloping. I have an HT in another room so I don't feel like I'm giving anything up. It was a satisfying purchase. But, I never would have bought it at it's original asking price. It's a little old at this point, so no HDMI or Hi-res decoding. There aren't too many powered/processing bars that I would put above this. But, a passive bar would might be a better option as you can always upgrade the processor without changing out the amp and speaker. However, you don't buy this for the ultimate system. You buy it because it's one of the best in this form factor. 5 starts because it delivers.
