slim profile great for inserting in larger Backlpack
don't get me wrong, the case comes with its own set of backpack straps which are more than adequate for carrying your uke around. however, if you've been uke-in for a while, you know that you end up carrying a lot more than just your uke with you. there are music stands and songbooks or pdf files on your tablet :), the case itself can handle extra strings and smaller incidentals, but, lets face it, sometimes you just need something else to carry all your stuff. I like the slim form factor of the Gator case because it fits into my larger backpack without making it too bulky to handle :) great design and good padding for my uses.
