This is a different type of modern day "western" that is entertaining but dark at times. The characters do an excellent job. For me, a little difficult to follow at times and had to watch a couple of times to make sure I understood what was going on. Longmire is a story about a Wyoming Sheriff who is in a constant battle with injustice. He's a tough, handsome, old bird with his own close to home crime story, that unveils itself throughout the series. You will love the characters and look forward to seeing them again and again. The Character of Henry Standing Bear is a little too small in stature to fit the book character, as well as somewhat wimpy in his outlook, and the character of Vic is not true to the character in the book in a number of ways.
