Excellent Sound & Value
The Harman/Kardon 430 "Twin Powered" receiver is one of the best values H/K ever produced. It's dual power supplies and overall good performance make it a highly regarded and sought after receiver. I've listened to several H/K 430 receivers over the past few years and they provide very clean and detailed sound with excellent power. They also provide a very nice sound stage. I've found these receivers to be built very well ( with one design downfall, the aluminum face plate side pieces can easily get bent in, creasing or bending the bottom aluminum panel). It's well laid out circuit boards and ease of access make working on a Harman Kardon 430 a delight compared to many comparable receivers. The H/K 430 is a great value and one of my favorite receivers.Verified purchase: Yes

realistic receiver
I had the receiver serviced, its small in sound, its 10 watts, but it measured good, I liked it, I found that the higher watt receivers are not is good as the lower watt receivers, I have 8 receivers, most people would put there nose in the air to a realistic, thay would go more for a Marantz, pioneer, luxmen, McIntosh,exc, but now that my realistic sta 430 is fixed I like the 10 watt realistic the best, the others were good too , but people could not see the forest only for the trees.Verified purchase: Yes

New life for old parts.
People as well as stereo equipment wears out or is damaged beyond repair. Fortunately these folks are a source for original old parts harvested from beyond repair donor units. Hate to see any old audio parted out, but like in my case there is no suitable replacement other than modernizing a classic audio piece.
