HP Laserjet
I like this printer so far. I don't know that it's going to be any cheaper to operate, I've already had to replace the cartridges it came with. It is about 10 times faster than my inkjet. So far I haven't figured out how to cancel a print job, pressing "cancel" doesn't do it. I have to open the paper tray, and shut it off once or twice. I don't like that it doesn't have a "print preview". All my previous printers had a box to check for print preview, and after I clicked on "print", a window opened that showed me what will print, how many pages, how many copies, 1 or 2 sided, color or b&w. All this has is document preview, showing all the pages, not which one will print.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Refurbish gamble.
Firstly, the printer did not ship with a power cable. Secondly, it jammed after two prints. The nature of the jam required disassembly, which resulted in broken pieces and a worthless printer. To be fair, jams are to be expected, but this printer can get jammed to where a piece of paper is inaccessible requiring disassembly. IT WORKS GREAT ON EVERYTHING BUT PRINTING SINGLE CHECKS. THE SALES PERSON ASSURED ME IT WOULD PRINT FROM QUICKEN. IF I PRINT THE CHECK ON PLANE 8.5 X 11 FROM THE #2 TRAY IT PRINTS THE WHOLE CHECK. WHEN I USE THE TRAY 1 FOR SINGLE CHECK IT ONLY PRINTS THE $ AMOUNT & DATE ON THE END. I HAVE TRIED ADJUSTING EVERYTHING I CAN FIND - NOTHING HAS WORKED SO FAR. Great printer overall, but...
I really like the printer. It's fairly fast and does duplex printing. The only complaint I have is that it keeps losing its wireless network settings after being in sleep mode for a few days. I don't use it all the time, but I typically have to turn the printer off and back on, and then it remembers and connects to the wireless network. Not sure what's going on, but for the price, it's a small price to pay for an HP duplexing color LaserJet printer.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great Laser Printer for average person
The printing is excellent. The speed is very good for a normal user. The installation is very user friendly. I would have bought this a lot sooner, if I knew how much I would like it. I bought it to make professional looking labels - A+ doing that. Puts out a page in about 3 seconds, no inkijet is going to do that. Fine detail/ small print is excellent. Detail is excellent. Refurbished printer performing as good as new. Initially set up via USB connection -- worked fine. Changed setup to wireless and connected all networked computers with no problems. I did not use the CD that came with it, but downloaded latest software and drivers from HP on the WWW. Easy to register with HP for the one year warranty. So far, so good. BEST PRINTER EVER
I love, love, love this printer. It prints on both sides and you don't have to touch the paper to do it. Also if you want to print pages 3,5,8 all you do is say so and choose both sides printing and it will print page 3 with page 5 on the back of it and page 8 on the next page, etc. So WONDERFUL. I print always using grayscale to save toner and it is bright and clear. I guess you can tell that I love this printer. I suffered with a Samsung multi function printer for years. had to take the paper out and turn it over, etc. Plus it would go offline and I promise you that I spent more hours on the phone with the tech support people to get the doggone thing back online than I did printing with it! It is important to use a program like PICTURE IT from Microsoft to improve the image to be printed for brightness, sharpness, focus, etc.. Can't print anything to this thing
Even after updating my operating system AND installing the latest and greatest printer driver, I have yet to successfully print a single page from my iMac. It's visible to my Mac, but every single time a job goes to it, it pauses itself (and is unable to be "unpaused") or it errors out.
