Ultra Quiet is Right
The big advantage of this compressor is the low noise level. I'd also have to believe that since it seems to be running so smoothly at a lower RPM, it will probably last longer than other oil less models. Stop Yelling....
Its so quiet, I can whisper and you would hear me. I can stand directly over it and have a phone conversation. Im certain that it less than 60 dB. Sure its small, But the tank fills 0 to 125 psi in about 2.5 minutes. Not bad. I bought this to be used in our office as my R&D room is in the middle of the building. Its perfect! California Air Tools 5510SE Ultra Quiet Compressor
Kept pondering about buying this air compressor because all the reviews about how quiet and well made it was. Well i finally pulled the trigger and got one! I just unboxed it and used it for the first time and if you could of seen my face when i flicked that switch the first time... I was amazed at how quiet it truly is. I had it in the garage and filled it till it stopped on its own. I went inside to ask my girlfriend if she heard the compressor running and she said she did not hear a thing. If i was running my old harbor freight 3gl pancake compressor she would of heard it in the house for sure. It was night and day. 5.5 gal. # 5510SE model is , in my opinion , one of the best purchases that I have ever made in the power tool arena ! It is attractive , efficient , lightweight , beyond QUIET ! I took it out of the box and started it up in the middle of the living-room and was shocked at how quiet it was . I have owned or do own 9 generators , 3 air compressors ,angle grinders , chop saws , Etc . I know a little bit about noisy tools . This compressor makes all others obsolete .
