Best Nasal Canula for me!
My primary-care physician had me set up for a sleep study almost five years ago. It was determined I needed to use oxygen at night to maintain a sufficient oxygen level while sleeping. My provider worked with me to get a good oxygen machine, tubing, and canulas. I tried a number of different nasal canulas and the Salter 16Soft-7 is the only one I have been able to use. It is the only one which will consistently stay in my nose through the night. Also, the tubing which goes across my face is very soft and is the most comfortable. My regular supplier has had trouble getting these and, much to my disappointment, gives me other brands to try.instead. Most comfortable I've used
I've been on nighttime supplemental oxygen for 8 years now, and have gone through hundreds of cannulas. These particular cannulas are my favorite. I love the soft touch silicone, which doesn't stick to my head, but it also doesn't crush flat under the weight of my head. The part I particularly like is that the ends that go into my nose are curved and narrowed at the tips slightly, so much better than straight long ends that irritate my nose. Most comfortable cannula I’ve ever used.I have to wear my oxygen cannula 24/7 and every other one I have tried irritates the tissue inside my nostrils. Is much softer on the skin the the regular Soft Cannula, but still leaves deep impressions on my skin that has caused skin problems in the past.
