DeWalt 20v Circular Saw
When it comes to tools, you just can’t buy anything better than DeWalt. I have been using them for years now. When I switched from 120v electric to the battery operated ones. It was a great day. No more extension cords. You could get more done in less time. And putting everything up when finished was a breeze. 1st it was the 12v, then 14.4v, then 18v and now the 20v. They just keep getting better and are always ahead of the competition. They now have a 20v/60v set up that I am getting ready to try. I give them a 5 star rating. Great little project saw
I have a small workshop at my house I need something to do little home improvements and the saw worked out perfectly being cordless it is easy to move around and get into places a larger move powerful corded saw can not. Handy for small jobs.

If you have the old version, DON'T upgrade to this unit
The saw is practically identical to the old 18V Dewalt 6 1/2" circular saw (DC390). The base plate appears to be come cheaply made from pressed steel rather than formed aluminum. The motor might be a bit better, but when I compared them side-by-side with fully charged batteries (18V 3AH Ni-MH and 20V 3.0AH lithium), the saws were almost neck and neck. And the 18V lasted just as long using the Ni-MH upgraded battery. The most notable improvement on the new DCS393, is the removal of the trigger finder "hole", allowing better access to the trigger with gloves on. AND, of course the lithium battery is better at holding a charge for long periods.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Obviously a saw like this does not replace a large, corded saw for 'big boy' lumber, but you would be amazed how many times you reach for a saw like this. The safety brake is amazingly quick.
