Packed full of features for an affordable price

I really like this watch. It is replacing my Garmin Vivoactive 3, and I can already tell how big of an improvement this is. Just with the daily training feature, I've been able to increase my VO2 from 44 to 48 in less than a month. Also, the added metrics help in being more efficient with the training (training load and body battery). The music functionality is the cherry on top, not having to carry my phone on runs is great.

    Pretty good running watch

Good: Syncs well with RunKeeper, and my worksite fitness app. Easily plays Spotify with one button push, including downloaded playlists for running without my phone. Great battery life. Accurate running GPS. Comfortable watch band. Lots of health metrics, including stress, which might be great for some people. Bad: Expensive, not sure it's worth the premium over other competitors. Spotify music playing has distorted sound (through my bluetooth ear phones that work perfectly with my phone). No touch screen, so button pushing for navigation takes some getting used to. Overall I'm glad I bought it. Seems like a durable design, and I would recommend it for runners.

  • Everything I’d hoped for

The Garmin 245 packs an impressive number of features into a very small package. Very light and comfortable to wear, plus the number of accessory bands makes it stylish as well. I like the various watch faces available via the Garmin ap. There are a few menus to learn in order to navigate, but once you get them down there is an endless amount of information available.

  • Reluctant Fitness Tracker Wearer Is Not Greatly Annoyed by the Garmin Forerunner

I am not into fitness trackers. But start of the new year, the new health insurance company got us all Omada. Getting a tracker was one of the opening action items. Garmin doesn't connect directly with Omada app. However, Garmin does connect with iHealth app on iphones, which then connects to the Omada app. The result is this: what I already knew. I'm very active physically for work, and I sleep pretty well. As a life long Timex Ironman watch wearer and was worried about switching to the Garmin Forerunner. The only thing I miss is that the digital time doesn't have seconds. Also, if you are logging or tracking a workout, you can't use the counter/stop watch at the same time (it has both a timer and a countdown counter). I have routines where I like to do 50 seconds on followed by 10 second rest. Battery life has been impressive. I'm getting about 7 days in between chargings. The only thing I might change is to get a more "manly" watch band.

  • Great watch

All the features of the newer 255 minus Garmin Pay and only 1 week instead of 2 weeks of standby. However 1/2 the price! Good deal

  • The perfect GPS exercise & health tracker!

I purchased this to track my outdoor cycling and run/walks and I'm very pleased with it's performance. Once you get used to it's menu structure it's easy to use. The GPS tracking is much more accurate than my phone. I also don't have to bring my phone with my if I don't want to. I would totally purchase another Garmin GPS watch in the future.

  • Great watch for running and listening to music!

Great multisport fitness watch. Bought his for my son who runs XC. He loves the fact you can download your music playlists to the watch directly via Spotify. No need to carry around your phone!

  • 4/5 stars (fit)

Love the whole design. Has functioned well. The only thing I’d say I don’t like is that when ur working(I work manual labor) it can get uncomfortable. Also I woke up and the time was off by an hour and was annoying to fix. Other than that great watch.
