Pretty Good for a Shelf-Stable MRE Entree!
Are these MRE pepperoni pizzas going to trounce your favorite, local pizza place in terms of flavor and consistency? Absolutely not. However, if you sample within the proper context - a shelf-stable military ration intended to be stored for 3+ years - they're pretty good. Opening the package, the pizza smells good: similar to a Little Caesar's, etc. The pepperoni pieces were good: not overly spicy nor were they bland. Despite only a skimcoat of sauce, there's a notable tomato flavor. The crust is a bit different, but not necessarily bad. It's has the tooth-feel of a dense, soft white bread - think Wonder Bread if you squash it flat. I sampled one both fresh out of the pack and microwaved for 20 seconds: the pizza tasted pretty good both ways. I would have looked forward to these as an MRE while in the service, they'll make a great addition to my mid-term emergency food rations and I'll enjoy using them up as the expire!

Like a cheap store bought frozen pizza.
Disappointed in the pizza. It was of the grade of a cheap store bought frozen pizza. The bread was good, but the sauce was thin and the crumbled pepperoni lacked flavor.
