Dual band WiFI and No Signal Loss
Dual band WiFI rarely loses signal compared to previous outdoor camera brand! This is my 2nd RLC-410W. First one is 4MP and this 5MP is noticeable better due to the larger resolution. Installed in the same location and now I have the view I wanted! 1st 410W Camera can now monitor my side yard. Works great with Blue Iris! Good camera, unique capabilities
For what I wanted it for as a remote camera with power but no internet it was extremely difficult to set up. I had to set it up via a router then converted over to a hot spot, it cannot be set up wirelesssly per the hot spot you want it to run off of. plus I had to format a SD card and that was not easy to do either. Once I got it set up how I wanted it I think its going to work for my purpose. The directions they send with the camera are not very good nor are the on line directions for how I wanted to use it. I do think the quality of the camera is very good and the video is very good, as is the price point. It does not appear to to pick up objects that are traveling a high rate of speed like over 5 mph. I think this is the only camera on the market that can be used the way I am using it, at a entry gate. There is no internet, I do have power, saves video to an SD card and I can down load the videos off the SD card on my cell phone if the phone has terthering capabilities. Once its set up via a router, then the phone, the hotspot on the phone communicates with the camera and you can look at the SD card or live video to adjust if you are within 10 feet or so of the camera. Poor motion detection feature ruins it.
Motion detection is poor. You either get way too much, or way too little. The motion detection missed the mailman delivering mail when sensitivity was at low medium. Raising the sensitivity results in a 100 fold increase in detections. Also, the smart phone app itself is not too good. Reolink RLC-410 security camera exceeded my expectations
The Reolink RLC-410 security camera exceeded my expectations both in quality and value. The picture quality in both daylight and at night with the IR is outstanding. The camera was easy to set up from the mobile app and on the laptop. However, there is one quirk that I am working and that is wifi connectivity. Simple setup,good FOV for surveilance
Pros----Easy setup, lots of settings to change to you`re needs. Daytime video or photos from 200-250feet are very clear, nite works best if there is a small amount of light in the FOV for it to work the best, with that small amount of light its clear 60-80feet away. Cons---Needs to also come in black /darker color so it`s not seen easily.

EASENESS OF SETUP
the pic quality was really clear and define 5 mp is great .I set up the camera outside my second floor bedroom window and plugged it into a electrical outlet having it work off my wifi computer system.I have only had the camera for a little over a week .hopefully it works well in the cold and snow. I am planning to put one on my garage to cover my driveway next.The only problem I have is getting it to work on my laptop without going to their cloud and paying for the use.I can use my laptop on my nest camera on my computer without a charge but did sign up for monitoring for a couple of years. Good for the price.
Easy to set up. Good motion detection. The quality of recording to your hard drive is good, but the onboard recording to micro sd card is only fair. It can be accessed from my android phone from anywhere using downloaded software. Wifi must be getting a very good signal or it will disconnect often. The 4mp resolution on this camera is upscaled 1080p and average quality. Night vision is poor beyond 10ft but works okay with additional night lighting. Software and support is where this device is superior to others, reliable and dependable. That’s what you’re really paying for here.
