Using the correct GL-4 saves your tranny.
This is GL-4 and they quit making this. Making it more expensive. The dealership replace transmissions now with GL-5 which is not good for yellow metals and causes corrosion. Since it’s cheaper for all to use GL-5 that’s what dealers/mechanics are putting in for transmission flushes. I bought this 75w-90 GL-4 at a good price and it’s definitely worth putting the correct fluid in a high heat tranny. Especially when your manual states to use GL-4 “only” so yes I highly recommend using GL-4 75w-90. In high rev high heat trannys.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This stuff is amazing! I just bought a small used car with a manual transmission. When cold, shifting into third gear resulted in a slight grind, upshifting or downshifting. When warmed up, no problem. Internet search found people recommending Redline MTL. I put it in several days ago. First drive, the problem wasn't gone but improved.
