Item is supposed to send a ground to the oil pressure light. It was open circuit and therefore did not work. The factory OEM version had a rough flashing where the sensor body contacts the engine block to assure a well-grounded contact. This aftermarket product did not have that flashing. When installing by hand (no wrench) I actually stripped the threads when it reached bottom. On a good note, the item looked very nice.
I reinstalled my rusty OEM oil pressure sensor and it still works fine and tightens up firmly without stripping threads. It just looks bad from 50 years of aging. I rather trust my engine to a reliable sensor.
didn't plug up to stock wiring , i had to buy a female spade connector to make it work , had a bigger spade attachment plug. screwed into block like original one.
