I needed internet access for my Dell Inspiron 1100. While my Dell had an RJ-45 port, that port did not have Ethernet PCI drivers. It turns out the Dell Inspiron 1100 does not have built-in antennas or internal Wi-Fi card slots, so there is no way to connect this Wireless card. I was able to find Intel RJ-45 drivers, and use a cable for internet service. The wireless card would seem to work if I had the right internal features (a slot and antenna wires).
It's actually Atheros AR5B225 rebranded card. Has a stable WiFi connection with Bluetooth 4.0 LE.
Quite good deal if you want to bring 150Mps to your laptop and use Bluetooth speakers .
