1/2 chew every 48 hrs is better
The cat really likes these treats, but be careful not to give cat more than one. Before this, my cat would take smallish doses of Purina Fortiflora powder. It took about 4 days to get through a single packet. I gave him 2 of these chews in 24 hours and it backfired. He had obvious digestive issues for about a few hours. Since then, I give him 1/2 a chew every other day. That's about 2 chews total in week. Less is better. No problems this way. My hope is that this probiotic reduces hairballs and boost immunity. The Purina powder helped with hairballs helped and this should, too. I also try to brush the cat's hair daily so that he doesn't swallow so many when self-cleaning. Be careful and gradual when transitioning cat from one food or supplement to another. The costs of chews is less than flora powder, but I can't really prove which is better or healthier.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

No more kittie up-chucking!
My cat was throwing up from who knows what, and as she gets older, this has been happening periodically. So that's a $116.00 visit to the vet and then the fun part of giving her meds. After the last vet visit for this, I decided to try this product and she loves it, looks for it every morning as a treat, 1 a day.
