The sound I was looking for
I decided to get back into some slide playing, since the lap steel just does not have "that sound" you get from a 6 string git-fiddle. This Pyrex made slide is not as bright as a metal or glass slide, it is warmer, to use an over-used term. It does not have that screeching metal-on-metal abrasive tone on the high strings, and it does not pick up the windings as bad either. The fit is great on my fat, abused fingers. The edges or smooth & well rounded. Overall, it has the tone that I was looking for on both acoustic & electric, plus it is fairly priced...what's not to like?
