The salmon here like to bite eggs when they hit some fresh water. Biologists tell me it's an instinct so that free-floating eggs don't get fungus and infect viable eggs. (98% of salmon eggs are destroyed by fungus.) Putting this stuff on your eggs or even rubber eggs and corkies seems to trigger this biting reflex. So, this is a good late-season oil--different from when salmon are bright and feeding early. Works good on steelhead all the time.
