This simple ring ligature easily slips over the mouthpiece to firmly hold your reed — no screw tightening needed. Musicians here at Sweetwater appreciate that this ligature has an inner O-ring that protects your mouthpiece from scratches and provides a strong grip to prevent slipping. However, the ring only makes contact with the outer edges of the reed and the backside of the mouthpiece, allowing the reed to vibrate at its fullest potential.

Bois clarinet ligature
The Bois ligature is both simple and elegant in design and very effective and functional. My favorite ligature otherwise is the Rovner Mark III for all of my woodwind reed instruments. But, if one compares directly the Bois and the Rovner, there is a perception, at least, of incrreased resonance and tonal quality with the Bois ligature. Thomas M. Ashby

Bois Bb Clarinet Ligature
Excellent Ligature, highly recommend for any single reed instrument. I have played using the Bois on Vandoren black and Pomarico crystal Bb clarinet mouthpieces and found sound quality and reed hold excellent. The ligature would be ideal from beginner due to ease of 'reed latch' to the most professional philharmonic orchestra performer.
