Affordable, easy-to-use cooling solution for son's gaming laptop
Purchased this for my 10-year-old son's gaming computer. It's easy for him to use, and of course he loves the red lights that indicate the fans are on and working. Since he so often ends up gaming on his bed, I was worried about his laptop over-heating, and now I feel less concerned about that. Appreciate that this does not also have its own power supply, but just gets power from the laptop. that may reduce quality or longevity overall, but for my purposes it's perfect.

It does what it is supposed to and cools the laptop.
It cools the laptop well. Make sure you have it tilted up at least a little, or the air has nowhere to go and it won't work. The piece that it rests on is cheap plastic, and it probably won't last long. This is aggravated by the fact that is does't lock in place. so you have to hold onto it every time you get up. It isn't comfortable on your lap. It could use some padding. I have a lap desk with padding, but I can't use it underneath. It is a solid piece and blocks the airflow.
