    Quick and painless.

I received the sight pusher and picked up my slide to see if it would fit. This was just supposed to be a dry-run to see how it worked. Before I knew it my old sight was in my hand. I figured that you install in reverse and before I knew it my new sight was started. I had finished the job before I even meant to start it. In this case, RIA .45 CS with G.I. dovetail, it was as easy as you can get. I've got three more sets to replace making the price of this unit very cost effective. No bells or whistles, just mechanical advantage and a well designed tool. Excellent!

  • Top critical review

Works, but could use more adjustability and spacer blocks.

The pusher works great on square slide pistols. I removed and installed sights on my xds very quick and easy. However if your slide is not perfectly square you will have issues with it not staying in position. I found this out when changing sights on my girlfriends German p226. I ended up having to use 2 thin wood blocks(1 on each side of the slide) as spacers to get it square and solidly lined up in the front. If you don't plan on doing a lot of sight changes/adjustments and just need something quick and cheap this pusher works great. But if you plan on doing several different pistols I'd recommend spending a little more and getting a more versatile tool.

  • Works great!

Bought this to be able throw it in my bag and make adjustments at the range. As soon as I got it I tried it on my G19 and it was very easy to set up and use. It’s also very easy to adjust for other slide sizes. I threw some gorilla tape on the clamping area to protect my slide. Just add a 9/16 socket and ratchet and you’re all set. It’s solidly made and the seller shipped very fast as well.

  • Great for those with some mechanical aptitude and willing to work at a project

This is a good basic tool for the price. Understand that it won't turn you into a gunsmith, and you have to put in some time to understand the forces at play and the set-up needed to use it. For slab-sided slides like a Glock or 1911, it works great, especially if all you need to do is adjust the sight's position. If your job entails complete removal and replacement, especially of sights really set into place, more effort is required. The front of my Sig P226 has a step and taper on the sides of the slide, so I had to fashion some shims out of pennies in order to clamp on the flat portion at the bottom of the slide to remove/install the front sight. You have to work carefully in setting everything up, lest the slide twist in the clamp when torque is applied. A lot of force is employed to remove sights, and damage can result if you are not careful. If you have some degree of mechanical aptitude and enjoy a challenge, this tool will serve you well.

  • Top notch for use with delicate sights such as TFx/o

Highly recommended product!!! Worked great with my shield. It was so easy to set up and use. The design was perfect for the long guide rod port, the vertical/horizontal adjustments in conjunction with the lip made the install so quick. However, I do not recommend the use of this to remove stock shield sights. The factory darn near glued them in place. Use a brass punch and nylon hammer for factory sight removal.

  • Very nice product with lots of potential

Very good product and works as advertised. I like being able to make minor adjustments to my front and rear sights even if I am on the range. There are some minor things I would like to see in the 2.0 version: Some kind of ruler or scale so that you can easily tell how much adjustment has been made. I basically printed a ruler in metric and taped it to the top but it would be great if this was laser engraved into the metal. Also I wish there was a matching notch so that the slide can just rest in the tool. As it is now only one side has the notch so you have to hold the slide as you rig the slide into the tool at first. Hard to explain but would really be helpful when using the tool.

  • Excellent design and build Quality made the job easy.

Needed a good pusher to replace the front site on my Remington R1 1911 and saw this for just $35. The sites on these guns are a tight fit and so I wasn't sure how well this would work out. Well, couldn't have been any easier! Just put some blue painters tape on the slide for protection then slipped it into this puppy. It adjusted perfectly, held the slide firm and pushed the site right out and the new one back in. Not dents, dings or scratches. I highly recommend this pusher!

  • Nice Addition To tool box

This pusher works very well for the price. It is well made and made my first attempt at changing sights on my Armscor 45 very easy. Worked on both the front and the rear sights. The gun is at least 8yrs old with the original sights. There are Pushers out there with all kinds attachments for different guns at a much higher price. This pusher is fairly simple and seems heavy enough for most jobs. Instructions were easy to follow.

  • Used this on sd9ve

I replaced the sights on my sd9ve with this tool. Well worth the money, front and read sights came off quick and easy. I ran into some issues installing the rear sight. I couldn’t get the gun to fit properly with the sight. Could be my beginners luck though. All in all I’m happy with the purchase and the product. I will recommend using tape or something on the blocks and the metal thing to that pushes the sight. I scratched my rear up pretty bad.

  • TFX for Shield

I had some problems installing a new set of TFX sights on my M&P Shield. The sight pusher is not big enough to engage the new sight base unless you are able to push the new sight into the dove tail about a third of the way. I had to do a lot of filing of the of the new sight plate to get it pushed on far enough so the pusher block would work. For a wide dove tail, turn the pusher block upside down and use the wide end for the rear sight. Small end is fine for the front sight. I first tried the small end for the rear sight and wound up denting the base plate and breaking the tip off the pusher block.
