Poor receiver
Even with a 1:1 SWR the receive quality is poor. If another station is close by it is ok but the audio lacks a lot. I should have known for the size and price. If you want to receive 1 mile away you are good. The size is attractive for newer vehicles. Puts out 4 watts. Nice compact CB radio at reasonable price
The radio appears to be well made and of good quality. Receiver sensitivity is good. Audio quality is surprisingly good for the size of the radio and speaker. It takes up very little room in the car. The LCD display is easy to read. The English in the manual definitely could use improvement and better explanation of control functions. I use the radio mainly on road trips to monitor channel 19 for traffic problems. WARNING! Although most CBers on channel 19 are nice there is still quite a bit of stupidity and foul language that you might not want to expose your children and/or wife to.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Squelch isn't effective.
This radio is what I expected and meets our needs. I would suggest the manufacturer improve the squelch gate as it, even at it's highest setting, won't stop the DX/skip noise so we keep the volume turned low.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
