BOUGHT REFURBISHED, SAVED SOME MONEY
My refurb model was just a bit scuffed but it saved me $10. I've got the box running at a vacation home, driven by a large power pack. If your view includes foliage that might move in the wind, the box will burn through your memory quickly. Date and time are supposed to persist for 5 days when battery is depleted but mine forgot in 2 days, so keep this powered up. I didn't care for the "HD" video partly because the date/time stamp is tiny but also because of the memory required and the fact that the images were no more useful than the low res. I don't use the high (20fps) frame rate but rather the low (5) for the same reason. If you have a well-lit location and are willing to sacrifice image quality for simplicity and the ability to hide the camera, I'd recommend this. If you plan to use a 64gb SDXC card be aware that these must be reformatted from exFAT to FAT32. Search the web for "Panasonic SD formatter" for VIRUS-FREE reformatting software. Be sure you even have a reader capable of working with SDXC cards before you order it. Or just use a 32gb card and save the bother.
