Good sound despite loosely connection
Once I plugged it into my Yamaha receiver's joint I found it would noticeably dangle. Same unsure fit Apple TV's joint. I was disappointed and I decieded to discover how it sounds compared to my old coaxial Cambrige Audio cable. I used Yamaha DVD as a source, connected with both cables to Yamaha receiver's different inputs. So, I was playing a CD and switching inputs. It took around 5 minutes to realize the new Monster optical cable sounds better. The highs sound crisper and lighter, the drums are more strict and articulated, the vocal's smooth and pleasant. My equipement isn't very high level and the difference isn’t huge, but noticeable. At least this cabel didn't worsen the sound. All in all I'm sutisfied with the purchase. I will use it to obtain audio signal from apple TV, since my receiver doesn't have a HDMI joint. I would recommend this cable for low-medium range Hi-Fi equipment. I don't know, maybe it would be good for higher level Hi-Fi as well. Loosely connection spoils the feeling.
