Kit saved me from buying a new chair!
My 20-plus year old office chair was still in great shape, except the rod lost a piece and was dropping to the floor. I called the manufacturer, but no parts were available. The kit arrived quickly, and came with step by step directions on how to fix the chair--which was just as important for me as the parts. I followed the illustrations, and voila! The spring clip will not stay on. I have trued numerous times but ut won't stay on. I do not know if is my chair configuration or the clip. All the other pieces fit/work fine. At least I have my chair back to use. It may work perfectly fgor others otherwise it would not be on the market.
