Probably fine for standard fret materials, not so great for stainless steel.
Working particularly on stainless steel frets, probably not the fret end file you should go for. Does it work? Yes. Does it hold up to stainless steel? Seemingly not really. Is it cheaper than main distributor of guitar luthier tools? YES

Had half dozen fret ends total on 3 guitars that needed touching up. Not painfully sharp just enough to be annoying . This litte file took care of the ends making all 3 guitars much more enjoyable to play.
