  • A great, compelling read.

Having worked at Sotheby's in NYC, I only discovered this WONDERFUL book mid way through my years there. The author has a very compelling way of describing the personalities of those involved over its history since it was founded in the 18th century. These personalities were of such a nature, if I had read this book before I took a job at Sotheby's as one of their experts, I would have never accepted the job offer. I learned a lot there and reading this book has taught me so much more about life and how one should live.
