In the middle…
I was really pleased with the cooling relief at night, but I didn’t feel right. It turns out that the ingredients in this particular formula has ginkgo biloba . Unfortunately ginkgo biloba is quite “off setting” for me, and I know this from prior experiences. I never thought it would’ve been one of the ingredients in a natural menopause supplement, though it makes sense now. It helps some people with mood, but not me. I just felt out of sorts, and oddly moody, and irritable. I thought maybe it was just menopausal moodiness. I didn’t realize what was going on until I went to buy more and started really looking at the many different targeted menopausal formulas. I stopped taking this one, and stared feeling like my emotional self.
Ginkgo biloba doesn’t have that effect on everyone- just noticed it does on me.
So, make sure You read the ingredients on the targeted formulas for things like weight loss, mood enhancement, restful sleep, complete, etc. They are all different and that’s a good thing- It’s just wise to remember that not all “natural” ingredients are good for each individual. Again, thatbeing said, I’m sure this particular menopause formula would and does work well for many others- I did get some much needed cooling relief; It was just the other half.
When I stopped taking it, I started heating up again. I was really on the hunt for something then, and that’s how I came to all of this.
Ultimately I realized that I hadn’t been taken a supplementI’ve used for years now, for about a month. I organize my vitamins and supplements a month in advance, and forgot to repurchase. When I started taking the supplements again, the flashes drastically decreased. However, I must note that In that time frame, I had started taking B12 shots. I haven’t needed them for years. They make me incredibly hot all by them selves! I said that just to reiterate that many things play a part in our health and how we feel. We have to really be conscious, alert, and sensitive to what we’re putting in our bodies as individuals, and to help doctor ourselves. We’re the ones living in them.
I’m feeling pretty good these days- just tweaking a few things but that’s part of good health. Reintroducing the the supplement I forgot to take, and being mindful of balancing my B12 levels has been tremendous. Gonna try one other simple supplement that I think will perfect the balance for Me…
