I read a review from a user who purchased the older model with thicker palm padding. I would have to agree with him on his assessment of the newer model. The newer model has less palm padding and it's gets uncomfortable after squeezing it a few times on your palms. I would prefer the older model with more padding. I have all three light, medium, heavy. They teach your fingers the value of "getting a GRIP" on the neck of your instrument, and applying the string pressure to the fret. All I can say is "try 'em you'll be glad you did. Progressing at your stringed instrument, intonation, clarity, precision...
