This is a strong, waxy thread to simulate animal sinew (probably deer). Native Americans used it for such purposes as tying arrowheads onto the shafts.. Anything that needs to be wrapped for strength in craftsmanship could probably be done with this material. It is a neutral color and blends well for aesthetic purposes. So far, I used it to bind together a piece of swamp hickory I had split to put a large stone "tomahawk" head inside to simulate a Native American tomahawk.
