A few changes could make this an excellent gun case.
The foam inserts should be permanently attached. The foam should be more firm than what is currently being used. The places used to attach a lock should not be so close together. The gun could be removed from either end with a little effort.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This is the sixth Plano case I have purchased and the second one of this particular type. It just doesn't have the fit that the others did, Handle is slightly open when case is closed, It is still a good case to carry any firearm from house to hunt, just not quite as good as the other ones I have. Shotgun Case damaging my new shotgun
Nice case for the money. Heavy plastic and lockable at 3 different points. But I do not recommend it and would not buy it again. Why? I've had it for a few months and find that my brand new 12 ga shotgun is getting dents in the wood stock. It seems there are 4 oval braces inside this case with protruding spots on them for strength. As the gun is carried around, it moves inside the case and it hits these pieces which are causing damage to my gun. If there were a soft cushion around these braces I believe it would help, but I cannot figure out how to cushion these braces.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great... for the price.
For $30, it's great... amazing even. While the case is closed, the handle doesn't quite stay clamped together. If you drop the case it may pop open. It is a tad flimsy, but I'd take it over any soft case. If you're flying or going on some long expedition with a lot of loading and unloading, then get a better one. It's OK for the money
I bought this case for my Mosin Nagant that I put an Archangel stock on and a 8x-32-50 scope. The length is OK but the case will not close unless you remove the bolt from the rifle. As for airline approved, maybe if you could load it into the plane yourself, it is pretty flimsy and I don't think it would last one trip with the gorillas they have working there.
