Product Information

Prevent your clothes from leaching dye while in the laundry with this Rit Dye Fixative. It can be used after tie-dyeing with fabric dyes. It also helps to prevent bleeding of red or blue dyes when washing a garment for the first time. This dye fixation product has 8 ounces of fluid, which is enough to treat many garments. It can be poured directly into the washing machine after the machine has filled with water. This dye fixative is non-toxic.

    Rit ColorStay dye Fixative

    Wasn’t able to use the fixative as it wasn’t suitable for the canvas / leather backpack. Can’t immerse leather in hot water even if shielded with plastic tape. Very limited use. I used a sprasy on the canvas to make it waterproof. Hope it also did have some ‘fixative action’.

    good product but took 10 days to travel 250 miles. Dyed jeans and towels in washing machine with hot water. After rinse-- repeated wash cycle next with added fixative to next washing cycle all within 1 hour . Every thing felt different and better than before. good stuff.
