This is an excellent machine. The power is awesome and it is easy to use. My only complaint is the directions did not say I had to have the top locked down before I could use the accessory hose. I thought it was broken until I figured it out. This machine is an excellent purchase and does everything the more expensive machines do. I had been looking at a competitor's product that cost substantially more than this NECO unit, but read up and saw this particular vacuum sealer had performed very well in tests and comparisons.... they were not wrong! I used it yesterday for the first time, packaging and sealing quite a bit of dried goods, and it does everything very well. Simple and straightforward, and seems to be very well made. Work very well for a low priced unit compared to the high end high cost other vacuum sealers
Pleasantly surprised on how well this unit vacuum seals. For $50 I found it well worth it. When I vacuum seal chicken, for example, it stays fresh in the sealer bags for weeks as opposed to the freezer bags that one buys at the supermarket that only preserves the food for a few days or so. I've only had this unit for a few weeks but I'm hoping that it maintains its integrity over time and does not fall apart on me with the simple wear and tear from "normal" or average use. Great addition to your small appliances.
My daughter has another brand that is smaller so I would not consider this "compact" but it is built very well and is easy to use. A nice feature is the exterior vacuum port for other applications. I would recommend this as a great buy and a great small appliance. I buy in bulk so this makes it a lot better to vacuum seal rather than freezer bags. Did the job , makes saving meat and leftovers nice and easy. Make sure you seal bottom of bag properly before adding contents you must do this every time before adding contents. Great vacuum sealer
Overall I found this to be a very nice sealer. I also purchased some bags from another dealer that were 50'. Awesome deal. I noticed that this sealer also has that little sucker tube adapter for those Tupperware bowls that use it. I think they sell universal ones in the grocery store. I enjoy the built in cutter as well. But I would say that my only complaint, is that I wish they would either make the vacuum and sealer areas a lot closer to the edge of the opening and/or make the press down door completely clear so you can be sure of where the bag is pressed at. Not the biggest ordeal, but would be nice to have. The durability of the bags are awesome as well. Great for many other things to protect for a long period of time other than meat and veggies.
