Best thing ever to improve an extension ladder
I’ve been cleaning the gutters on my 14 foot high garage for 40 years with an extension ladder. I was always uneasy doing it. I can’t believe how safe I felt and how stable the ladder is with this thing on. Some people were saying about the rubber pads making marks. The pads are beige colored and soft and leave no marks. Some good and some bad.
There were a couple of problems. Putting it on the ladder is not very easy to do. There are too many little parts that have to be fit together. I had a different kind that was really easy to put on, Basically it just fit over the two rungs and easily locked on. Problem was it only pushed out 13inches from the wall. This one is a pain to put on. It pushes out about 25 inches from the wall, which I like, But it is really wide. Too wide. So, difficult to assemble, the pads that rest against the wall are extremely wide BUT it does push out a good distance from the wall.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I like the adjust-ability of width in the arms. It looks like the picture has the arms installed incorrectly. The arms pin out to the side and not forward. The tubing and hardware are very good, a bargain. Assembled and trial use very stable. For years I have used my 24 fiberglass ladder for 2nd story gutter cleanout. This attachement is a Keeper.
This attachment allowed me to install gutter guards on my home with a roof that overhangs 30+ inches. The extra width is great, but I did cheat and mount off center to assist with reaching the corners. I felt perfectly safe and stable two stories up. Really like the product. I didn’t give it a five because the pads on the front did not articulate at a sufficient enough angle to fully engage onto the shingles on my roof. Feeling Safe On A Ladder
This ladder stabilizer allowed me to safely paint the soffit and facia board.
