ROTHCO 381 BLACK LENSATIC NAVIGATION POCKET COMPASS
There are several types of compass that still all do one thing: Show you Magnetic North. This model, the ROTHCO 381 also allows you to mark a course with the rotating bezel, and also to sight on some object and determine its magnetic direction from where you take the sighting. This is a practical instrument for any kind of navigation. Its well-made, even though made of plastic all the parts are secure and it folds to snap-closed for protection of the instrument. The brass bezel that holds and rotates the compass-housing moves smoothly and without looseness or vibration. The compass rose moves easily and responds to ANY movement so you need to keep it still and level to get a good reading. When using the parts to find a magnetic direction the front cover is sighted through the notch in the back folding part so you can line up the distant object through the aiming wire on the front cover and then look down to read the direction underneath the lens. Its simple, rugged and a good tool to help you find your way or keep you from getting lost.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
