Great Product
I was surprised in the quality of this work bench, made in China. I think the hardwood is Western Red Alder. Everything fits together nice and tight, I did also use wood glue on all the joints for added strength, but it probably isn't necessary.

Rock solid and looks classy too.
I'm so glad to have found this work bench at a great price. It is solid hardwood with steel hardware so it is tough and will stand up to your toughest project and the test of time. Even the drawer backs and bottoms are hardwood so store the heavy stuff if you like they won't collapse. Setup took awhile and it would have been easier with two people but once I got it built It was literally the most solid furniture in my apartment. It looks great in the corner of my modest apartment, not out of place at all and if it did all I'd have to do is paint it.
