Deadfall Adventures is a first-person shooter that sends gamers on a globetrotting journey full of Nazis, Egyptian artifacts, and supernatural events. Set in 1938, the game puts players in the role of James Lee Quatermain as he joins the U.S. agent Jennifer Goodwin on an excursion to find the ancient Heart of Atlantis artifact, which is said to possess invigorating qualities. The action finds the duo traveling from the Egyptian sands to the frigid Arctic, and on into the jungles of Guatemala, all the while fending off Nazis and Russians who are also after the artifact.<br><br>Quatermain is said to be the great-grandson of Allen Quatermain, protagonist of King Soloman's Mines, the famous adventure novel that helped inspire the Indiana Jones franchise. In keeping with that novel's 'Lost World' aesthetic, gamers are encouraged to use their compass, notebook, flashlight, and treasure maps to solve puzzles and the explore the mysterious environments around them. Wonderful game!
I am a huge Indiana Jones fan and I have always thought, 'why can't someone make a FPS Indy J. game?' and although you do not exactly play Indiana Jones in the game this is definitely as close as you can get. The main character (you) looks almost just like Indy, you battle Nazi's who want the treasures you are seeking and also ancient zombies. the graphics are pretty good, the gameplay is smooth, the audio is realistic. The voice acting could be better, but it is not that big of a deal. There are plenty of weapons, puzzles and traps.
