  • A Solid Product

My daughter and I spotted a Razor E3000 in a thrift store a few weeks ago and bought it on a whim. It had no batteries, so I knew I'd be purchasing some parts. After spending a little time online I decided I wanted to overvolt it from 24v to 36v and I wanted a complete kit that would let me avoid shopping for individual components. This product fit the bill. Over a couple of evenings I modified my E300 to take 3 12v sealed lead acid batteries using plywood to raise the deck off of the frame. That was the biggest part of the job. The installation of the kit was pretty seamless. I was not interested in preserving the old controller, handle/twist switch, or handle grips, so I just cut everything off. The connections to the new controller were easy to figure out. The biggest wiring issue for me was that I had to fabricate a new battery harness, which will not be necessary if you have the old one. There is a 5-pin electrical connector on the wire to the throttle that would not fit through the hole in the battery tray, so I slipped the pins out of the white nylon housing, put the end of the cable with the pins through the tray hole, and then remounted the pins in the nylon housing. This was cleaner than enlarging the hole in the battery tray so the connector would fit through, but you have to be sure to make a diagram of which color wire goes into which hole in the nylon housing. I was thrilled that upon making all the connections, everything worked flawlessly. The instructions could be a little clearer and/or photos could be added, but as I said, I was able to figure all that our without too much trouble. I recommend this product and would buy it again.

  • The very last replacement controller you will buy

As an overvolt system, it implies the person receiving knows they will need to add another battery and the small amount of wiring changes you will need to make (adding a 3rd battery). there is multiple ways to physically fit the 3rd battery in, some have raised the deck, others have added the 3rd to the top of the deck. To make mine appear as stock as possible, I cut the plastic tub around the circumference and cut the vertical metal bars about half way through and extended them with some bar stock and a MIG welder. After the batteries are in, the new controller drops in place of the old, reusing all the old connections and giving you a factory look, or in terms of the metal grip with LCD readout and key on/off better than stock. The controller handles all the power you can throw at it. I use this scooter as a run around to get the mail on my long driveway (3/4 mile!) and to run to neighbor's houses to grab a tool or such, no gas to pour, no noise and when I'm done with it, i can easily load it in to the car. I've gone through the process of modding the factory controller, adding solder and wire to try to get it to handle the higher voltage, always ended up buying a replacement, and then replacements for them when they died. Not anymore! only issue i have with this controller is i cant seem to own them for long, every-time a neighbor sees me driving it, they offer me the cash to take it on the spot! very reliable, and very intuitive setup, if you have a e300 or e300s and the controller is acting up or just to slow to get around, buy this, (3) 9AH batteries and get the 36v charger- spend a night tinkering and get on and ride! dont worry about faulty controllers or slow scooters ever again!

  • As described, easy to hook up.

Added this and a an $80 36v lithium battery, plus the 65t sprocket... Works great. Hauls my 170lbs likely. A half twist throttle option would be nice. Great kit, everything labeled and is super fun. A great way to build a cheap scooter from a Craigslist find, or breathe some life into your e300. Wasn't sure if the basic version came with a key, but it did.

  • Great performance kit for the price!

This is hands down one of the best [if not the best] upgrade for your Razor E300! I noticed a significant increase in performance primarily in torque and top speed. I love how this kit comes with everything you need (minus an extra battery), especially the spacers and longer screws/bolts. Voltage meter on the variable throttle is also a great addition so you have a more accurate reading of battery life on rides. Great kit for the price!

  • Awesome

This is exactly what my scooter needed. I use the scooter to chase my son on his overvolted power wheels. I was having trouble keeping up and there was no going up even the slightest incline. I’m 6’5” and weigh 320 pounds so I wasn’t sure how well this kit would work but I am very impressed now. Hills are no problem and I can easily speed ahead to watch for cars as we come to intersections. My wife is terrified of the scooter because it is so fast with her on it 5’3” 100lbs. If she is not careful it will even wheelie with her on it. It went on in less than 10 minutes and was a very straightforward install. I am using a 5000mah 10s lipo 42v at full charge. I also purchased the 65t sprocket and the 500w motor to complete the package. I highly recommend thIs over volt kit. If you are looking to go crazy fast or just want more torque for heavy riders than this is what you need.

  • Works great!!

Seem to be a great product so far I got it for my 4 year olds razor quad so u can ditch the led acid batterys and use makita battery's instead. I got the speed reduction dial so I can control his speed . With the stock batterys it takes several hours to charge and really only last about 30 minutes at the most. The makita 6 amp last way longer and u can just stop them out when they die and they usually charge by the time the next set die. The makita batterys makes it go like twice as fast on full power

  • Much better than original!

Just great but did a few modifications to the installation. As seen in photo I cut out from rubbermaid basket to cover the gab. I also eliminated the front spacers with thinner ones so I could install the gap cover and eliminated completely the back spacers with wood giving me a spot to screw the gap cover. I also cut the flat bar that use to hold the 2 batteries to hold down the standing cover for a better hold. I wish a head and back lamp was in the deal otherwise everything else is great!

  • Great and simple modification for Razor MX350

Excellent well thought out and easy to do DYI upgrade to the Razor MX350 dirt bike. Requires installation of a third 12v battery which I placed under the frame rails just above the motor - plenty of room. I wrapped the places where the battery would touch the frame and secured it with large hose clamps available at ACE hardwared. The system fit easily (required bending up the existing module tabs to screw the unit in place) and all of the new plugs fit well with the stock plugs. Recommend getting the throttle limiter since the modified scooter can go MUCH faster than stock. Limiter allows setting top speed down to a very tame level or wide open depending on how skilled the rider is. Seller provided both before and after sale correspondence that was very helpful. Product and support are great - get one for your project.

  • Awesome upgrade

I bought two of these kits. Both kits have been installed on Razor e300's. I have a modified battery box to fit 3 sla batteries. I made the battery box out of sheet metal and gave it a depth of 4-1/2". I able to screw the deck down like factory and there is still ground clearance for the battery box. I also have a 80t sprocket in the back. I weigh just over 200 lbs. My scooters have ZERO issues moving me around. On a steep hill the scooter still struggles a tiny bit but outside of that the scooter is very fun to drive.

  • Razor MX350 upgrade makes BIG smiles for little people.

Upgraded 24V Razor MX350 using this 36V controller and throttle and my Ryobi 40V battery. Easy, straightforward swap and works as expected. Son loves the faster speed and varying throttle response. Seller has fast shipping.
